We are Peter Groen and Mirjam Goede.

Since 1989 we live together.
Very soon we knew that we wanted house animals. It started with 2 cats, and in 1995 came our first Doberman in the house. 

Peter:

I wanted already on youngs age a Doberman. In former days we had always dogs in the house.

And nevertheless .................. the Dober attracted me most. First of all his splendid appearance.

I understood of course that if we would take Doberman at home it would take much time and attention. Therefore after years tolerated, we had enough time and space and take the Doberman, at last!!!!!!!!!!

Mirjam:

I knew in fact not much of dog etc.  Because Peter had made me rapidly clear that he wants Doberman (kindest several) in the future. I take enough time to learn about this race. I red books and information about the education, puppies, properties and character of the Doberman.

 
External I love the Doberman, only how do I manage a Dober? You must be straight and strong. It is a spirited dog that cost much time and attention. And if it is your first doggy I thought thats not so easy. After it was possible to work less, we have made the step .......  

By a friend we have became in contact with Henk and Nel Westenberg.And there immediately, in Otterlo, we knew this is the address where our doggy will come from. Their love for Dobermans was this way present and what a splendid dogs they had, in natural surroundings.....

From these people we have learned very much concerning about the Dober.The enthusiasm of them were contagious, even rapidly we went to train with the dogs, exhibitions to walk along and to Events.

We find the Doberman is a dog is that much must be able to run, to play, to run and it is certainly advisable to train with this dog.

 
O f course we have been very honoured that Henk and Nel had asked to continue their ideas and their vision of the Doberman, and thanks them also that we may take over the Doberforestkennel.
